LegalTech Webinars 2020

Due to the unfortunate global health pandemic of Covid-19 we are running a series of webinars, over a period of 3/4 days, in order to keep our 'The Innovation Journey' themed events in action.

The Legaltech webinars will bring together leading industry practitioners and academics from across the world to discuss the latest insight and use cases.

We will host a number of panels, preceded with short keynotes to set the scene around the topics to be discussed. The aim is to understand the best practices and progress from leading authorities on legal innovation and technology.

In order to replicate the depth and interactivity of face-to-face keynote speeches and panel discussions, each will be followed by a Q&A enabling attendees to get involved.

Day 2: 1st July

Panel: BIG DATA & LITIGATION DECISION MAKING IN THE PANDEMIC

10:30-12:00

- Big Data & litigation decision making in the pandemic and post pandemic era. High value litigation decision making has historically been based purely on expertise, experience and “gut feeling”. With the advent of litigation analytics in The USA and more recently in the UK, this is beginning to change as data is becoming part of the way in which these high-risk business decisions are made.

- The arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic has altered the picture further. With a surge of high value and complex disputes expected data will be critical to not just anticipating outcome but also in maintaining a grasp and understanding of market dynamics for firms, banks, insurers and other corporates as well as for litigation funders and insurers. How data is used and analysed will be critical to this future picture and the panel will explore the opportunities and challenges.
